Surterre Properties is the region’s leading luxury residential firm. Unlike other brokerages, it uses a collaborative team approach to share information with agents and clients to build relationships based on trust. In renovating its Newport Beach office, the firm wanted to promote greater knowledge-sharing among agents. The design process involved getting all team players on the same page, considering multiple ideas, and discovering a blend of styles that best support naturally occurring collaboration. Several adaptations, such as expressing corporate culture through architecture, offering choice among comfortable collaborative areas, and a conversation-starting coffee-and-kombucha bar, have all provided simple yet impactful results.
