Megan Bethel

Megan Bethel, Principal at Symmetry 8 Studio, has more than thirteen years of commercial interiors experience, covering millions of square feet in projects for some of Southern California’s most-recognized brands. A highly respected project manager and space planner, Megan adapts her work strategies to the big picture, reacting quickly to change, finding creative solutions within budget, minimizing schedule disruptions, and promoting project-wide collaboration.
Education: Park University, Bachelor of Arts, Interior Design
SPECIAL SKILL
Megan developed a remarkable skill for adaptation early in life, learning to thrive while attending 12 different schools in 12 years. By adapting to change every year, Megan gained confidence, independence, and determination, graduating from high school as valedictorian with a full scholarship to college, where she graduated summa cum laude.
UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE
Megan’s multicultural background is a source of inspiration, from her grandmother’s elegant Japanese aesthetic and her husband’s colorful and elaborate South Asian influence to her grandfather’s sophisticated British Isles heritage.
VOLUNTEERING
Megan has a long-term commitment to altruism that began in high school when she volunteered at the local hospital’s emergency room, logging nearly 120 hours after class. She also participated in the Kids Vote Coalition, which created a public service announcement to encourage people to vote. It generated enough interest to warrant a press conference and the support of well-known Hollywood stars. Over several recent years, Megan has volunteered with the Huntington Beach Assistance League to help with their annual spring fundraiser, working the event, processing payments, manning the silent auction, and checking in guests.
JUST FOR FUN…
Megan enjoys walking the trails along Crystal Cove with her husband and son, soaking up the sunshine. All avid readers, they often spend lazy weekend afternoons curled up with their books. Megan is a fan of science fiction fantasy, has read all of the Tolkien Middle Earth stories more than once, walked down the aisle to the theme song of Star Wars, and knows the names of all the superheroes in her husband’s and son’s comic books.
